    Inaugural Issue of Materials International, 1<\/strong>st<\/strong><\/sup> platinum open-access journal in the field of materials science<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    It is with great pleasure that we introduce to you Materials International<\/em>, a new interdisciplinary international scholarly open-access journal dedicated to original and innovative research on the preparation, characterization and applications of materials. From reviews, to original research papers, communications or short notes, any of these type of articles can be considered for publication and undergo a rigorous peer- reviewing process, in order to ensure the high scientific standard of the journal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The aim of Materials\nInternational<\/em> is to create a free comprehensive platform for scientists to\nexchange information on the newest subjects in materials science. For this, the\npublication is done under the policy of Platinum Open Access, meaning that\narticles are free for readers and no article processing charges are demanded\nfrom authors, nor from their institutions. The publication charges for articles\nin Materials International<\/em> are\ncovered by AMG Transcend Association, Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Through this, Materials International<\/em> addresses equality in academic publishing,\nby making the process available to both researchers and readers. Besides this,\nauthors benefit from increased visibility of their research and thus, an\nincrease of citations and higher influence in the academic world. Here, no\nrestrictions on the total length of the papers are applied, the journal\nencouraging the publication of detailed work, all articles considered for\npublication being complete in themselves and supported by methodical details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    There are more than 10.000 Platinum Open Access\nJournals indexed by DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals), but none of them\non the subject materials science. In this regard, Materials International<\/em> paves the way to completely free academic\npublishing services in materials science research field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
